If you're in Belo Horizonte, you cannot miss this excursion to the Sanctuary of Caraça, one of the great centers of worship in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Belo Horizonte and drive south towards the well-known Caraça Sanctuary.
We'll first stop at the Caraça Park, where we'll take a short 2 km walk. During this walk we'll enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Cachoeira Cascatinha. This is a spectacular natural environment, belonging to the geological complex Cânions de Capitólio, where we'll see a set of waterfalls.
After enjoying the magnificent natural scenery of the area, we'll go to a local restaurant where you'll have an hour free for lunch. With your strength restored, we'll go to the cultural complex of the Sanctuary of Caraça.
You'll have about two hours free to visit the different buildings and monuments throughout the complex. This important sacred center, one of the most revered in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, houses a church, a library, several gardens and catacombs where the remains of the founder of the Colégio do Caraça rest.
Finally, from the Sanctuary of Caraça we'll return to Belo Horizonte. Arrival at your hotel is scheduled 11 hours after pickup.
