Activity Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Praça da Liberdade. Here, we'll board a vehicle to leave Belo Horizonte behind and begin this adventure toward the region of Lagoa Santa, where we'll step into a world filled with history and mystery.
After approximately 2 hours, we'll reach Serra do Cipó, one of the natural sanctuaries of Minas Gerais. Once there, we'll reach the Cascata do Véu da Noiva. Ready for the first photos of the day?
We'll continue and reach the park's viewpoint. From here, you'll admire its endless valleys! After exploring Serra do Cipó for almost 5 hours, we'll head to a restaurant in the area, where you can have lunch. You'll have 1 hour of free time to relax and revitalize.
We'll return to our vehicle and drive for approximately 1 hour toward the Gruta da Lapinha, one of the most impressive caves in Minas Gerais. Here, we'll embark on a guided tour of its museum and cave, where you'll see up close the mineral formations that Peter Lund, considered the father of paleontology in Brazil, found so fascinating.
Did you know that Lund investigated 200 caves in this area and found over 12,000 fossils of prehistoric animals and humans dating back more than 10,000 years? This scientific expedition is now a tourist attraction!
Finally, after 1.5 hours in the Gruta da Lapinha, we'll return to Belo Horizonte and say our goodbyes at your hotel after a total of approximately 9.5 hours.
