On this tour, we'll visit 2 of the most important museums in Rio de Janeiro, AquaRio and the Museum of Tomorrow. Great fun for the whole family!
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Rio de Janeiro to begin this tour that will take us to 2 of the city's greatest points of interest. Ready to visit AquaRio and the Museum of Tomorrow? Let's go!
Firstly, we'll head over to AquaRio, the biggest aquarium in South America. Once we arrive, we'll go on a 1.5-hour guided visit to learn all about the over 350 marine species that this museum houses.
As we explore AquaRio, we'll see everything from tiny sardines to intimidating sharks, as well as various species of invertebrates, mammals, and birds. One of the most exciting spaces in the aquarium is the underwater tunnel, where you'll feel as if you're at the bottom of the sea. So popular amongst children!
Next, we’ll stroll along the incredible Olympic Boulevard, an area that was completely renovated for the 2016 Olympic Games held in Rio de Janeiro. We’ll admire the breathtaking views of Guanabara Bay and visit one of its major attractions, the Kobra Mural.
Created by Brazilian street artist Eduardo Kobra, this gigantic graffiti mural was designed to realistically depict different ethnic groups, yet it is filled with color and geometric shapes that leave no one indifferent.
We'll continue through this part of Rio de Janeiro until we reach our next stop, the Museum of Tomorrow, the perfect place to learn all about neo-futuristic sciences.
Beginning outside, this museum will amaze you, as its design by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava makes it an impressive addition to the seafront on Pier Maua.
Once inside, we'll spend 1.5 hours learning about the most cutting-edge experiments in its 5 different themed areas: the Cosmos, Earth, the Anthropocene, Tomorrow, and Today.
Lastly, we'll begin our journey back to your hotel, where we'll say our goodbyes after a total of 4 hours.
