The tour will begin at the designated time in the SĂŁo Conrado metro station. Depending on the group's size, we'll either hop on motorcycles or a minibus that will take us to the top of the neighborhood of Rocinha, one of the largest neighborhoods in Latin America.
Once at the highest part of Rocinha, we'll start to walk through the alleys winding through the traditional neighborhood houses that rise over the hill. As we continue, we'll tell you about the daily life of Rocinha's inhabitants and its history. Did you know the neighborhood of Rocinha was created in the 1950s when rural migrants from the north arrived looking for opportunities in Rio de Janeiro?
Rocinha is famous for its artistic scene, as it's home to various groups of urban artists. Proof of this is the different graffiti you'll see on the walls of the houses and the neighborhood's murals. During the tour, we'll make several stops to take pictures of the neighborhood and the stunning views of the city.
Afterward, we'll return to the vehicle to head to Vidigal, a neighborhood that blends urban charm and natural beauty. We'll reach its highest point, where we'll start to descend by foot to learn about its origins and cultural aspects that have shaped the idiosyncrasy of Vidigal.
Interestingly, today, this urban site in RĂo is known for its boutique hostels that attract travelers from around the world. We'll make a stop at the ArvrĂŁo Viewpoint, where you'll be able to see the coastline with beaches, the city, and the Morro Dois IrmĂŁos.
After this 4-hour tour, we'll say our goodbyes at this last spot, where we'll provide you with useful recommendations to return to your hotel.
