On this visit to the Inconfidência winery, we’ll take you from Rio de Janeiro to discover an authentic Brazilian vineyard. You’ll learn everything from how the grapes are harvested to how the wine is stored.
At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Rio de Janeiro and head toward the Inconfidência winery. During the approximately 2.5-hour drive, we’ll travel along scenic roads while sharing interesting facts about the landscapes you’ll see along the way.
Once we arrive, the winery’s team will welcome us. Together with them, we’ll walk through the vineyards, where you’ll get a close look at the vines, learn about grape cultivation, and discover the processes behind different styles of artisanal wine. You’ll learn about every stage of production, from harvesting to storage.
Next, you’ll enjoy a guided tasting of three wines. This special moment will allow you to appreciate their aromas, flavors, and textures, while learning how to identify the unique characteristics of wines from the region.
After the winery experience, on the return journey, we’ll stop at the Feirinha de Itaipava, a popular market known for its wide range of handmade products at great prices, as well as its food stalls. You’ll have 1-hour of free time to shop for souvenirs or try some local dishes if you wish.
We’ll end this 10-hour excursion by dropping you off at your hotel in Rio de Janeiro.
