During the booking process, you can choose from one of the following private tours, all with a duration between 4 and 9 hours, including pickup from your hotel, transport in a private vehicle, and an English-speaking guide. Below you'll find a brief description of each option:
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel to begin this exciting tour. On the way, we'll enjoy a delicious breakfast to fuel up for the day.
Our first stop will be Orion's Gate, an imposing natural rock formation. Its name comes from its characteristic shape, which resembles the Orion constellation. We'll take a tranquil walk through this emblematic space to enjoy the exuberant nature that surrounds us.
Afterward, we'll approach the Laguna Negra, where we'll board a canoe for a ride on its calm waters. During the trip, we'll admire the beauty of this lush landscape, having the opportunity to see some endemic birds of the area.
Finally, we'll take you back to the starting point.
After picking you up at your hotel early in the morning, we'll head to Cerro Azul, an open-air gallery with impressive cave paintings. The magnitude of this place will amaze you!
Once there, we'll start a hike of about 3 hours to a tepuy, found 200 m (656 ft) high. At the top, you'll be amazed by the magic that surrounds this place, declared a World Heritage Site.
During the tour, we'll observe thousands of pictograms carved in the rocks, witnesses of ancient civilizations, and we'll go into the bowels of the tepuy to listen to the “poetry of nature, ” feeling the energy of this space.
After this cultural immersion, we'll go to the Cerro Pinturas farm, where we'll enjoy a delicious lunch typical of the region. Finally, we'll return to San José del Guaviare.
We'll pick you up at your hotel, and from there we'll start this excursion to the Raudal del Guayabero. Upon arrival, we'll board a canoe that will take us through the majestic Guayabero River, whose impressive rock formations will make you fall in love.
From here, we'll navigate to the base point, where we'll begin a walking route of approximately 2.5 hours. Our destination, a rock art panel, will allow us to connect deeply with the ancestral nature of this territory. Then, we'll have the opportunity to admire the river from a lookout point and be enchanted by the sound of its natural force!
After resting at the viewpoint, we'll begin our descent to the starting point. There, we'll take you to refuel with a delicious lunch. Finally, we'll return to San José del Guaviare and drop you off at your hotel.
This activity includes pickup from the hotels located in the central area of San José del Guaviare. If you're staying outside this area, we'll meet at the main square of San José.
