Bananal Island and Cantão Park 5 Day Trip
Day 1
After picking you up at 8 am from your hotel or Palmas airport, we will get into a car and drive for three hours to the town of Caseara. Upon arrival at our destination, we will regain our strength with a delicious traditional lunch. Later, we head to the remote region of Araguaia, where we will encounter all kinds of exotic wild animals.
From there we will take a boat trip along the mighty Araguaia River and admired the beautiful beaches that line its shores. This enclave is home to the largest river island in the world: Bananal Island.
We will finish the day in Caseara, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 2
After a hearty breakfast, we will set sail deep into Cantão Park. When we reach the mouth of the lake, we will disembark and start a fantastic 4-mile trek. Afterwards, we will enjoy a tasty and well-deserved lunch.
We will continue the excursion through the deepest corners of Cantão Park, crossing the northern zone of the Araguaia River. We will also have the opportunity to get to know the culture of a riverside community near the State of Pará.
When we have finished, we will return to Caseara for dinner and rest until the next day.
Day 3
On the third day, we will get up very early, have breakfast, and set off for the interior of the Cantão Park to enjoy its impressive landscapes at the break of dawn. The early morning start will be more than worth it when you witness the jungle cast in beautiful colors!
Depending on the time of year, we will continue the route through the park on foot or by boat. If you take a look around, you will see the different species of exotic birds that live in the area. We will also enjoy a wonderful boat trip along the channels and lakes that are intertwined in Cantão.
We will end the day by returning to Caseara, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 4
After breakfast, feeling re-energized, we will hit the road for almost three hours to Lagoa da Confusão, where we will board a boat to sail on the lagoon that gives its name to this Brazilian town.
Afterward, we will go to the hotel for lunch and start a photo safari in search of the most exotic species in the area. Later, back in Lagoa da Confusão, we will accompany you to your accommodation where you will spend the night.
Day 5
On the last day, we will have breakfast and leave Lagoa da Confusão behind to go to the stunning Bananal Island. We will also cross the picturesque Javáes River while observing the island's hidden fauna and flora.
After discovering these magnificent natural landscapes, we will have lunch and set out for Palmas. We will be back at your hotel or the airport at around 5:30 pm.
