Bananal Island & Cantao Park 3-Day Trip
Day 1
After picking you up from your hotel at Palmas airport at the scheduled time, we'll get into a car to start a three and a half hour journey to the town of Lagoa da Confusão. There, we'll enjoy a tasty lunch whilst learning about the photo safari that we'll do next.
We'll go in search of the animals in the area while capturing some incredible images. We'll also see the three biomes of the country: the dense vegetation of the Amazon, the forests of Ipucas, and the Cerrado, a characteristic tropical savannah of Brazil.
Afterward, we'll hit the road for an hour to the Javaés River in the hope of seeing more wild animals. As soon as we arrive, you'll see Bananal: the biggest river island in the world!
After this, we'll return to Lagoa da Confusão, where we'll have dinner and spend the night.
Day 2
After breakfast, we'll set off to enjoy a pleasant trip around the waters of Lagoa da Confusão, and you can even take a refreshing dip! Afterward, we'll take a two and a half hour road trip to the town of Caseara, in the heart of the Cantão Park.
Once there, we'll enjoy a delicious meal and take a sunset boat ride on the impressive Araguaia River while admiring its beautiful beaches and islands, including the breathtaking Bananal Island.
Finally, we'll return to Caseara to enjoy dinner and spend the night.
Day 3
We'll get up early for breakfast and head to Cantão Park, where you'll observe the magical sunrise. We'll then continue the route on foot or by boat, depending on the time of year, and visit the park's headquarters to learn all about this ecosystem.
Afterward, we'll return to the lodge for a delicious lunch. Having enjoyed an amazing day, we'll get into the car and drive back to Palmas. We'll be at your hotel or at the airport at around 5:30 pm.
5-Day Tour
If you opt for this option, you'll enjoy two more days. On the fourth day, we'll sail along the Lagoa da Confusão and go on a photographic safari in search of the area's most exotic species.
On the fifth and last day, we'll head to Bananal Island and sail along the Javaés River.
We'll return to your hotel or the airport at approximately 5:30 pm.
