On this boat ride around the Nine Islands, we'll discover mangroves and islets and watch the sunset over the Mundaú lagoon. A magical experience in Maceió!
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Maceió and head to Pontal da Barra, one of the most traditional neighborhoods in the city.
Once there, we'll sit down for lunch at a local restaurant, which will consist of a salad and a main dish made from seasonal local products. Afterwards, we'll set off on a boat ride through the Nine Islands.
We'll cruise the channels connecting to the Mundaú lagoon, taking in a landscape of mangroves, sandbars, and small islands scattered among natural waterways.
During the trip, we'll enjoy live music and pick up fascinating facts about the geography and natural transformation of this ecosystem. We'll pass by Ilha das Cabras, Ilha de Santa Rita, and the former island of Seu Irineu. Did you know this last one once belonged to a local fisherman who lived there with 2 sisters as wives?
We'll also catch a glimpse of Ilha Paraíso in the distance, currently closed for environmental restoration works. Before you know it, we'll reach the open stretch of the Mundaú lagoon, one of the most special moments of the trip. We'll watch as the waters blend with the coastal landscape while the sky begins to fill with the colors of sunset. Perfect for photos!
After enjoying the sunset over the lagoon, we'll head back to the Pontal da Barra pier. If time allows, we'll make a stop at the Mercado das Artes, located in the historic port neighborhood of Jaraguá.
Finally, after 8 hours of exploring, we'll take you back to your hotel in Maceió, where we'll say our goodbyes. See you next time!
