Can you imagine flying over Lençóis Maranhenses? On this scenic plane ride, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the contrast between its dunes and lagoons. It’ll be a truly unique experience!
At the indicated time, we’ll take off aboard a small plane from Barreirinhas Airport, and within just a few minutes, Lençóis Maranhenses National Park will unfold before us. You’ll see an endless mosaic of white sand dunes shaped by the wind.
We’ll fly over deep blue lagoons separated by bright white ridges that shimmer under the sun. Some reach depths of up to 10 meters (33 ft). You’ll see how the light transforms these natural pools into liquid gems as we pass above them.
During the 30 minute flight, we’ll fly over Azul and Bonita lagoons, two of the most iconic landscapes in Lençóis Maranhenses, which reveal patterns from the air impossible to appreciate from the ground. Their colors change depending on the time of day, ranging from turquoise blue to sapphire. A breathtaking visual spectacle!
We’ll continue toward Baixa Grande, a hidden oasis emerging from the vast sea of sand. You’ll wonder how such lush vegetation can exist in the middle of this ocean of dunes. From above, you’ll understand the vitality that defines this truly unique place.
Finally, we’ll return to the departure point, where we’ll say our goodbyes with unforgettable memories and photos.
