2 Day Hike from Barreirinhas to Atins
Day 1: Barreirinhas - Baixa Grande
Between 2:45 and 3 am, we will pick you up from your hotel to start this two-day trek from Barreirinhas to Atins.
We will board a ferry which will take us across the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park where we will start the hike. For seven hours we will walk along beautiful trails that weave through the extensive sand dunes until we reach the village of Baixa Grande, where we will meet a local family and spend the night.
Day 2: Baixa Grande - Atins
After breakfast, we will resume the trekking route through the park, visiting beautiful freshwater lagoons, dunes, and many other amazing places, until we reach the mouth of the Rio Negro. The hike will take us around three hours.
Once we reach the end of the road, a 4x4 vehicle will be waiting for you to take you to Atins. We will arrive in the village at 11 am and drop you at the place of your choice.
