Get to know the fauna of the state of Bahia on this excursion to Praia do Forte, where you'll visit a sea turtle preservation project.
Praia do Forte Excursion
After picking you up at 7 am at your hotel in Aracaju, we'll leave the state of Sergipe behind to enter the state of Bahia.
Along the way, we'll tell you some interesting facts about this area of Brazil and, after a three-hour drive, we'll arrive at the town of Praia do Forte. In this popular coastal tourist destination, you'll have five hours of free time to enjoy both its gastronomy and its main attractions.
Undoubtedly, one of the highlights of Praia do Forte is the Tamar Project, an area of 10,000 square meters (over 100,000 sq ft) dedicated to protecting native sea turtles. Here you'll also learn about the main reproduction and breeding habits of these animals.
Another major turtle preservation center in Praia do Forte is the Baleia Jubarte Project, which you can also visit if you want. For those who prefer a relaxing cruise on the Atlantic, you can opt for a boat ride.
In the afternoon we'll regroup in the center of Praia do Forte and return to Aracaju, where arrival at your hotel is scheduled for 8 pm.
Hotel pickup
This tour includes pickup from the hotels in the central area of Orla de Aracaju. If you're staying in other areas of the city, we'll provide you with an alternative meeting point.
