Uncover day-to-day life in Lençóis Maranhenses National Park on this all-terrain tour on 4x4 around Betania, plus we'll take a swim in the Alegre River!
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Santo Amaro do Maranhão, where we'll hop on our 4x4s and drive off towards Lençóis Maranhenses National Park.
Following a two-hour journey, we'll arrive in Betania, one of the park's most visited communities. Here, we'll have the opportunity to connect with the local families who call this area home. Sitting along the riverbanks of the Alegre River, these families form a close-knit community, offering a fascinating insight into their day-to-day lives.
On top of getting to know the locals, we'll also enjoy a panoramic route on our all-terrain vehicles around the park. We'll traverse sand dunes, natural springs, and beautiful expanses of lush vegetation that surround us. The perfect photo op!
Next up, we'll leave you 2 hours of free time so you can get to know the Betania community at your own pace. Additionally, make sure to leave some time for a refreshing dip in the pristine waters of the Alegre River or any of the beautiful lagoons nearby.
After an envigorating 9 hours of 4x4 adventure through Betania, we'll bring you back to your hotel.
This tour includes pickup from hotels in the center of Santo Amaro do Maranhão, except for the following hotels, where no pickup will be made: Sábanas Zaya, Pacas Suites and Chalets, Sábanas da Casa Oiá or Olho d'Água dos Pereira hotels.
