On this day trip to Minca, you'll take a dip at the Oído del Mundo waterfall and enjoy a delicious tasting of local coffee, cacao, and chocolate. A unique experience from Santa Marta!
At the indicated time, we’ll pick you up at your hotel in Santa Marta and head to Minca, a small town located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada. The trip will take about 90 minutes.
Once there, we’ll set out on a tour in an off-road SUV, traveling through the tropical rainforest and along various unpaved trails. Next, we’ll take a 15-minute hike along rural, sloping, unpaved nature trails.
We’ll cross several small streams to visit a small, traditional, artisanal, family-run farm in the area, where you’ll get an up-close look at the stages of coffee cultivation, drying, and roasting, and you’ll also enjoy a delicious cup of freshly brewed coffee.
Afterward, we’ll continue walking for 25 minutes until we reach the Oído del Mundo waterfall, a sacred site for the indigenous communities of the Sierra Nevada, where you can enjoy a swim in its crystal-clear waters.
After this dip, we’ll resume our hike for 45 minutes until we reach the Casa Jocolate restaurant, where we’ll enjoy a delicious homemade lunch, with vegetarian and vegan options available. Plus, this spot features a panoramic overlook with a spectacular view of Santa Marta. You’ll have the chance to take photos of the scenery!
After lunch, we’ll participate in an organic cacao workshop, featuring sensory activities centered on local chocolate. This experience includes tastings of a rich cup of artisanal cacao, a chocolate face mask, and the chance to create your own chocolate bar, among many other activities, all in a natural and relaxing setting.
Finally, we'll head back to your hotel in Santa Marta, where we'll wrap up this 9-hour tour.
