Night Tour Details
We'll pick you up at the scheduled time from your hotel in Salvador de Bahia to begin an unforgettable night tour of Pelourinho. This area, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the greatest historic jewels in the city.
Firstly, we'll make our way towards the Nossa Senhora do Rosário dos Pretos Church, a structure built in the 18th century located on the Pelourinho hillsides. Here, we'll attend an Afro-Catholic mass, where elements of African religions, as well as dance and music, blend together to honour Saint Anthony and his ancestors.
After this ceremony, we'll continue the tour of Pelourinho admiring the lights of its most stunning streets. Throughout this tour, we'll hear about the celebration in honour of Ogun, a deity of African origin worshipped by Afro-Brazilian religions. This celebration takes place on the famous Blessing Tuesday, which is a tradition that dates back more than 60 years. We'll also hear about why it's a part of Salvador's musical identity.
We'll continue this night tour by visiting different bars, restaurants and food stalls in Pelourinho.
Finally, we'll return to the hotels in Salvador, where we'll arrive after 4 hours together.
