We'll gather at Auto Posto Piracema at the designated time, ready to embark on our hiking adventure around Lago do Amapá. Get prepared to explore trails teeming with lush Amazonian vegetation and wildlife, all within the heart of Rio Branco.
During this easy hike, we'll meander approximately 5 kilometers (3 miles) around Lago do Amapá, an area under environmental protection. As we navigate the forest, the path will take us through a dense forest of trees characteristic of the Amazon biome, including the towering samaúmas, resilient rubber trees, paxiúbas, mulateiros, and vibrant achiotes.
Apart from that, keep your eyes peeled for the diverse species that call this unique natural haven home. Along our journey, we may be lucky enough to encounter creatures such as the friendly monkeys that inhabit the vicinity of Lago do Amapá.
Before finishing, we'll take a pause to refuel with a light snack of refreshing juice, candy, and cookies.
After approximately three hours of adventure, we'll say our goodbyes back at the meeting point. Until next time!
