On this day trip, let yourself be captivated by the waterfalls, forests, and rivers of the Huilo Huilo Reserve, a beautiful protected area located in the Patagonian Andes.
Huilo Huilo Reserve Day Trip
At 8 am, we'll depart from your hotel in Pucón heading south. After bordering Lake Villarrica, we'll head to the village of Licán Ray, where we'll take a short break to contemplate Lake Calafquén.
The next stop will be in the colorful town of Panguipulli. We'll stop in front of its church and main square and, of course, we'll see the lake of glacial origin that gives its name to the town.
We'll continue the route towards the Huilo Huilo Reserve, one of the natural wonders of the Chilean region of Los Lagos. In this beautiful protected area, we'll see its main rivers and waterfalls, which are part of an environment of great scenic beauty.
Next, we'll stop at two charming accommodations located within the reserve. These are the hotels Nothofagus and Montaña Mágica, which seem to have escaped from a fairy tale. Huilo Huilo tour will continue in the town of Puerto Fuy, where you'll have a free hour for lunch at one of its restaurants overlooking Lake Pirihueico and Mocho-Choshuenco volcano.
After lunch, we'll continue to know the nature of Huilo Huilo with a visit to the Memorial Museum of Volcanoes. In addition, the building that houses its exhibition is located in a natural environment where we'll see deer and wild boars. Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Pucon, where we'll arrive at 8 pm.
