The Amazon is much more than the world’s most powerful river. On this safari, we’ll discover its lush rainforest landscapes and incredible tropical wildlife.
Tour Details
After picking you up at your hotel in Manaus, we’ll head to the city’s port, located on the banks of the Rio Negro.
Once at the river dock, we’ll board a speedboat. This journey will allow us to observe Amazonian nature up close, full of igarapés narrow rainforest waterways. During the ride, we’ll also learn some interesting facts about the local wildlife: jaguars, marmoset monkeys, harpy eagles… The variety of animal species makes this part of Brazil one of the most biodiverse places on the planet.
We’ll continue sailing until we reach one of Brazil’s most fascinating natural phenomena: the meeting of the Rio Negro and the Solimões River, where both rivers flow side by side without mixing. We’ll also have the chance to get close to the Amazon’s pink river dolphins and swim with them. If you wish, you can also try piranha sport fishing.
The experience will continue with a visit to an indigenous community, where we’ll learn firsthand about traditional riverside life. We’ll discover how stilt houses are built, how manioc flour is made, and which fishing techniques are used. A close encounter that’ll help us understand the deep connection between the rainforest, the river, and its people.
Before heading back, we’ll enjoy a buffet-style lunch, a perfect break to savor the region’s aromas and flavors. After lunch, we’ll return to Manaus and say goodbye at your hotel after a total of 7 hours of touring.
