Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Lençois. Once settled in a comfortable vehicle, we’ll set off on a 20-minute drive to one of the most authentic landscapes in the Chapada Diamantina. Here we go!
As soon as we arrive, we’ll set out on a hiking trail totaling about 14 kilometers (8.7 mi). It’s a challenging route, perfect for true lovers of hiking and nature in its purest form. From the very first steps, the area will treat us to views of dense vegetation, massive boulders, and riverbeds that reveal the geological origins of the Chapada.
We’ll see ancient sandstone and quartz formations, sculpted by river erosion over more than 300 million years. Next, we’ll head toward the Sossego Waterfall. We’ll cross the riverbed, hopping from rock to rock, traversing small canyons and natural pools. A journey that requires balance and focus.
The reward comes upon reaching our destination: a waterfall plunging into a pool surrounded by lush vegetation. Here you’ll have 2 hours of free time to rest, take in the surroundings, and, for those who feel like it, take a dip.
We’ll resume our hike and arrive at the Ribeirão do Meio Canyon, one of the most popular spots in the area, thanks to its natural rock slide. This smooth surface, shaped by the constant flow of water, turns the descent into a fun and refreshing experience.
In addition, the area features natural pools that are perfect for relaxing and recharging your energy. You’ll have another 2 hours of free time in this wild setting, where you can enjoy the lunch you’ve brought with you.
Finally, we’ll return to the vehicle and head to Lençois, where we’ll say our goodbyes and drop you off at your hotel 9 hours after pickup.
