If you're looking for somewhere to relax in Paraíba, this private day trip to Barra de Mamanguape is the perfect plan for you. Natural pools and mangroves await you!
Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in João Pessoa. From here, we'll begin our approximately 1-hour 40-minute drive to the fishing village Barra de Mamanguape, where we'll hop onto a boat.
Throughout the journey, we'll see beaches, sand banks, and mangroves. Are you ready to discover a spot where peace and harmony come hand in hand? Aboard the boat, you'll have charming views of the sea and its shore, as well as the Mamanguape and Sinimbu Rivers, which pass by various Indigenous communities before reaching the estuary.
We'll then have a pause at a coral reef, considered the second-biggest natural protected area in Latin America. Here, you'll be able to see various animals, such as green and hawksbill turtles
Afterwards, we'll stop at different sand banks, where natural pools are formed and where you'll be able to take a refreshing dip in shallow waters. This is a peaceful spot, perfect to completely disconnect. Here, you'll see how locals live in connection with nature and respect the environment. You will never want to leave!
Next, you'll be able to re-energise with a typical fish and seafood stew in a Caicara restaurant next to the river if you wish. Everything is prepared by residents of the Aldeia Camurupim with the freshest ingredients. Delicious!
Lastly, we'll go on a small walk through Amor Island to discover its mangroves. This spot is very important for controlling the seawater's salt content and preserving many animal species. We'll find 4 different types of mangroves here, and you'll get to enjoy a relaxing mud bath.
After spending the day in this natural paradise, we'll drop you back off at your hotel 9 hours after pickup.
