Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll meet at the main park in Guatapé, and once everyone has arrived, we’ll walk a few minutes to the Malecón, where we’ll begin this experience.
After a brief technical talk and providing the necessary equipment, we’ll start paddling from the Malecón. You’ll see the colorful town of Guatapé grow smaller as we head out onto the lake.
As we paddle, the imposing Piedra del Peñol, standing 721 ft (220 m) tall, will come into view. Throughout the journey, as we share the secrets of this monolith with you, you’ll be able to take incredible photos from a unique perspective.
We’ll navigate among the islands of the Guatapé reservoir, where we’ll also have the chance to spot endemic birds and fish. Plus, if you keep up a good paddling pace, we’ll be able to reach the ruins of La Manuela, Pablo Escobar’s famous estate—a place steeped in history and fascinating stories.
At the end of the kayaking trip, we’ll return to the starting point, where we’ll say our goodbyes after a total of 3 hours.
