Join us on this guided tour of the Blue Lake Grotto where we'll explore one of Bonito's great natural attractions. You'll be fascinated to see the underground spring that houses this cave, declared a National Heritage Site.
Blue Lake Grotto Guided Tour
At the agreed time, we'll meet to begin this adventure in close contact with nature. We'll start by walking along a small trail that winds through the vegetation of the Cerrado biome until we reach the entrance of the Blue Lake Grotto.
Before entering the cave, we'll put on the mandatory safety helmets. Then, we'll begin the descent down approximately 300 steps carved into the rock. As we descend into the depths, we will be able to admire dozens of stalactites, stalagmites, and other geological formations sculpted over thousands of years.
Upon reaching the bottom of the cave, you'll immediately understand the origin of its name when you see its famous spring, whose waters stand out for their intense and brilliant indigo color. You'll have time to take pictures and appreciate the beauty of this place, declared a National Historic and Artistic Heritage Site of Brazil.
After a 1-hour and 20-minute tour of the cave, we'll begin our return journey to the starting point.
