At the designated time, we'll meet at the pier of Jardim do Rossio and start the first part of the tour with a peaceful ride in a Moliceiro boat through the canals of Aveiro. These typical low-draft boats are perfect for navigating the narrow canals!
During the crossing, we'll admire the beautiful Art Nouveau-style buildings of the old town. Their decoration is complemented by the iconic Portuguese tiles that adorn such outstanding monuments as the beautiful old railway station of Aveiro.
We'll then continue with a panoramic tour of the Salinas de Aveiro. Did you know that salt has been the economic engine of the city for decades? You'll discover interesting facts about this industry!
Then, we'll go to the famous Costa Nova to discover the most beautiful beaches in Aveiro. This will include the Praia da Costa Nova and its colourful fishermen's houses, palheiros, and Praia do Paredão Barra. On this last beach, we'll observe the lighthouse that guides the ships that sail parallel to this area of the Portuguese coast every night.
